In 2018 the agency learned about changes occurring in the insurance industry including the Connecticut state-mandate for foundation cracking, increased use of tracking telematics with auto insurance, and smart-home safety technology.  Carriers have introduced new product lines with new coverage benefits such as equipment breakdown coverage, buried utility line coverage, and home sharing coverage endorsements.
